Students at Atlantic Academy were celebrating their GCSE results today. Following the school closures in March, and the accreditation of results based on students’ work, we have been delighted to confirm the hard work and determination of the 2020 cohort with excellent results.

The Centre Assessed Grades took into account mock exams, controlled assessments and other work completed under the supervision of their classroom teachers. We are particularly delighted with our art GCSE results where 30% of students gained grade 9’s and are proudly displaying their assessed coursework the school site as inspiration for future students.

Notable results include 5 grade 9’s for Daniel Ince, who moves into a prestigious IT apprenticeship and grades 8 and 9’s for Harry Reeves, who joined us to complete his education from Thailand, and moves to Petroc to complete his A levels.

We wish all of our students the very best of luck as they move onto the next stages of their education; we are confident they will continue to be successful in the future.

Atlantic Academy re-opens for all students on Monday 7th September, with new Year 7 induction taking place on Friday 4th September between 1.30 and 3.15pm. We look forward to welcoming all students back and our operation plans can be found on our website.
